Last month we made a slight change in our weekly TV schedule. We also added a lot of things to the shows we want to watch, as usual. I still like to stick to one show per evening, but it is getting harder with all the tv series that are available now. If anything, I would be happier if we had one evening where we did not watch any tv (or youtube, or anything, really). And we don’t have to, of course. Anyway, here is what we watch for the next few weeks. You may notice a leaning towards Star Trek.

The World According to Jeff Goldblum
Thursdays are for documentaries. We finished with a documentary on serial killers and I needed to switch to something a bit more upbeat. So we came across Jeff Goldblum‘s series about, well: lots of different things. We started with an episode about coffee, to see if we’d get into it. Yes, we did. So then we watched the first episode which was about sneakers. So we learned that coffee is noy ‘just a drink’: it brings peole together and creates a social moment (as does tea, but that was not mentioned). And sneakers can fetch an incredible amount of money if you find the right buyers for some ‘unique’ thing that you wear on your feet. We really enjoyed the series so far and I am happy to not dive into yet another gruesome serial killer’s story.
Sitcoms in between
It’s pretty hard to stick to our sitcom-series because we chose series withnlots of episodes. So we added a Saturday Breakfast show, which is technically a kids cartoon: Star Trek Prodigy. It’s a great introduction to the Star Trek universe, even if it sometimes seems to veer off a little from what we expect. Not necessarily a bad thing. Also: It has Janeway, voiced by Kate Mulgrew. And Sundays we switch from Golden Girls to Frasier, for that much needed boost to start the week.
